i was reading what you said, pretty audacious of priest to say they were the first metal band, in all actually, led zeppelin ushered in heavy metal, it wasnt just a specific sound, in the late 60s, a new "heavy" music was starting, as opposed to pop music, it was a whole feeling, hard guitars, screaming vocals, loud sound effects, like? whole lotta love. obviously we know that zeppelin doesnt fall into the now a days banner of heavy metal, but back then they gave us a new sound, hard, heavy rock
